NEW YEAR, LOWER TAXES!

2025 is already bringing exciting news for North Carolina taxpayers! Starting this year, the state income tax rate has dropped to 4.25%, ensuring that you keep more of your hard-earned money. We’re committed to policies that build prosperity and strengthen our communities. Wishing you and your family a Happy New Year!

This 4th term brings new opportunities to champion the issues that matter most to our communities, from building flood-resilient infrastructure and fostering economic growth to strengthening our schools and ensuring a high quality of life for all our residents.



GREENE COUNTY LEGISLATIVE LUNCHEON

Earlier this month, I joined Senator Buck Newton in Walstonburg, NC, for a legislative luncheon with Greene County leaders.


We had meaningful discussions with local officials and school representatives about funding priorities for the upcoming session.


We’re committed to addressing the needs of our communities and continuing to bring taxpayer dollars back to Eastern North Carolina.

Do you know a high school student interested in government and leadership? The NC House Page Program offers a unique, four-day experience to learn about the legislative process and assist in the daily operations of the General Assembly.


Open to students in grades 10-12, this program provides a firsthand look at how laws are made. Learn more and apply online at www.ncleg.gov/House/PageProgram.



LENOIR COUNTY FAIR EARNS STATEWIDE RECOGNITION

Congratulations to the Lenoir County Fair for earning the Innovation Award at the NC Agricultural Fairs Conference! Their creative display featuring bug catchers in the field highlights the hard work and ingenuity of our community.


A special thanks to Bonnie Faulkner and everyone involved in making this achievement possible. We're proud to see Lenoir County shining on the statewide stage!




JONES COUNTY POSTER CONTEST

The Jones County Soil & Water Conservation District has announced its Annual Education Contest for students in grades 3-12 at Jones County Schools! This is a wonderful chance to showcase your creativity and learn more about conservation.


📅 Deadline: All submissions are due by March 14th, 2025.
